Groundwater monitoring

Grund_ersch

Groundwater is since ancient time the basic for the development of life. With the increasing world population water ? as the most important food - could be more and more a reason for political tensions in various regions. This is reason enough to take care about water, to monitor the sources, measuring the quantity and quality and to use the sources with care.

The most accessible sweet water on our earth is groundwater. During the water circle and drainage the groundwater has contact to natural and chemical substances and the quality of water can be negatively changed. This influence has to be recognised in order to minimise the negative effect.

The safest way to analyse the quality of the groundwater formation is to monitor the sources by wells. The different samples of the drilled formation will give first results. These results can be further analysed by different method of geophysical measurements. (Well logging)

The task of the monitoring wells is to develop and research new and existing groundwater sources. Lined monitoring wells can be used as test wells for pump tests or to monitor the drawdown curve and water quality.

Corrosion-free products for the lining of monitoring wells, like PVC, stainless steel or coated steel warranty a long-life and economical use. Even in small wells with a diameter of 50 mm nowadays submersible pumps can be used for collection of water samples. The sealing of different drilled formation is possible by using special sealing clay. The top of the wells have to be closed by reliable well heads.
