As soon as the bore hole is lined and equipped (casing and screens, gravel, sealing clay, etc.) cleaned and developed according to the technical rules, the pump pump has to be installed. Depending on the total height, quantity, water level, well diameter as well as the available power supply, the market offers a wide range of pump types.
In general there are two main groups of pumps:
Suction pumps,
Positive displacement pump
with a variety of different construction principles. In the following the main pumps types for water wells shall be described.
Suction pumps will be used according to the technical characteristics for wells with water level near to the surface or close to the pump location. (Difference in height lower than 6 ? 8 m)
Die eldest known type of positive displacement pump is the piston pump, which is used in our days as handpump handpump for the rural water supply and for private purposes. Handpumps for public supply are used in rural areas up to a depth of 80 m. Sophisticated materials result in simple use and less maintenance. (KARDIA, INKAR)
Centrifugal pumps are the most known positive displacement pumps in the water field. The characteristic is that the collection quantity is in direct relation to the collection height. For water wells we know this pump type as submersible pump. Submersible pumps are available with a diameter smaller than 100 mm and even with a diameter of 50 mm.
This design enables to collect huge quantities of water from deep wells (200 m and more) Stainless steel and plastic material reduce the cost for repair and maintenance to a minimum. To choose and to optimise the dimension of pump contact our pump experts for our free of charge assistance.
