Solar-powered water-pump systems are extremely versatile and can be used anywhere in the world for distributing water.
They are suitable both for conveying surface water and for pumping water from wells down to 70 metres deep.
Depending on water availability, solar-powered submerged-motor pumps or downhole plunger pumps may be used for wells.
Solar-powered pump systems can be used to supply drinking water in areas where there is no mains supply, in agriculture and forestry (irrigation, drinking water for animals), and for gardens and landscaping (fountains, streams, waterfalls).
The pump systems we develop and produce are specially designed for water supply applications.
The energy required to run these pumps is supplied by a photovoltaic module to ensure a cost-effective supply of water.
The use of high-quality materials in conjunction with simple, robust design guarantees a long working life and low maintenance costs.
Aquasolar downhole plunger hand pump
The model “pb aquasolar” is a solar-powered plunger pump for the self-sufficient extraction of groundwater.
Well systems are available in several different performance classes and are based on a plunger with a foot valve.
Depending on the model, the maximum working depth is 70 m with a maximum flow rate of approx. 550 l/h; a solar module provides the necessary power.
Because the pump can also be operated manually, water can be supplied round-the-clock, even when there is little solar radiation, or at night.
This system is, therefore, frequently used for water supply in emerging markets. Existing hand pumps can be retrofitted with the solar drive.
